An Irish Utility Business was about to embark on a company-wide transformation project with Microsoft that was seeking to implement Microsoft 365 and encourage collaboration across a 7000-user employee population. The programme was delayed as there was a lack of clarity around programme management structures, roles and responsibilities and some concerns over the ability to realise the expected business benefits.
I played the role of ‘Client Advisor’ to advise an Irish Utility Business on the design of an appropriately scaled and governed business transformation programme that included PMO, client leadership role definition, role of a change management partner and governance and reporting programme controls.
This advice allowed Irish Utility Business to proceed to contract agreement with Microsoft, appoint an appropriate programme leadership team internally and proceed with the delivery of the Microsoft 365 platform and associated transformation initiatives.
