Transformation through people

Following a major cyber security attack in 2017 this global logistics organisation undertook a major transformation programme to build a cyber-aware culture across the entire global shipping business with an initial focus on all internal IT functions. This required substantial operational changes and cultural changes to be addressed on a global basis.

Initially, I played a delivery director role, working with client leadership to facilitate the design and implementation of a centralised Security Operations Centre (SOC) to manage Cyber Security. Once this was established, I was the programme Change Director responsible for leading a programme that implemented 50+ new systems, 1000+ new operating procedures and security protocols across 80 countries to enhance global cyber defence and response capabilities.

The organisation is now proud to operate one of the most secure IT networks on the planet and everyone across the business understands the importance of minimising cyber risk in every business decision they take on a day to day basis.
